"You must do the thing you think you cannot do." Eleanor Roosevelt

It's a bad sign when you wake up thinking "I don't wanna do this."

More bad news. According to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institutes' Body Mass Index calculator, my BMI is 39.9. This is "obese." I think it's approximately 3 points from "the-only-way-we'll-get-her-out-of-the-house-is-to-cut-a-hole-in-the-wall-and-use-a-back-hoe."

At this point, I was going to list some things that are 277.8 pounds. However, all I could find when I googled it were other people trying to lose weight and giant marijuana busts.

Let's discuss goals. Long term & short term.

Long term: I want to get out of the "obese" BMI. Which means that I'll need to drop to 208 pounds. Or approx 70 pounds. Ideally, I'd also like to get out of "overweight" too. That means weighing 173. Is that even possible? That's nearly 105 pounds.

Longish short term: I turn 4o on July 10. 23 weeks. I'd like to lose 40 pounds by then.

Short term: I'm going to Mexico in 49 days. I'm going to the BVIs in 57 days. I'll be on a sailboat regularly in approximately 90 days. Realistic goal for Mex: 15 pounds.

Short short term: I'd like to make it through the morning without eating something unhealthy.
